So this feature is a bit misrepresented in the current stage of the game. No matter what I did, his tactics never changed. I broke windows, ran straight through the door, crept in through a window, turned off his power, the list goes on and on. Sounds simple enough, right? At first, I set off to test his intelligence, hoping to see a bit of what was advertised as an AI that would learn your tactics and adapt or make changes to the house to prevent you from further meddling in his affairs. To do so, you’ll need to find a way into his house and locate 3 keys that will allow you access to his basement.
After your ball gets away from you and rolls in front of the neighbor’s yard, we witness what appears to be a murder, so we are tasked with doing what any young kid would do in this circumstance: figure out what kind of shenanigans the guy is up to. While some people would be content making these stories up and going on about their day, our unnamed protagonist in Hello Neighbor decides to take things a bit further.
The people who reside around you are likely jerks, and it can be fun to make up stories with your loved ones about all the horrible things they do in their house after said neighbor annoys you with their distaste for your use of dryer sheets or their strange fondness of stray cats. The people who reside Let’s be honest, people rarely like their neighbors it doesn’t matter if you’re an adult, kid, or the family dog. You are now in a separate room, with less of a chance to get seen or heard.Let’s be honest, people rarely like their neighbors it doesn’t matter if you’re an adult, kid, or the family dog. What this means, is that if you use a Wind Chime to alert Nielsen to the kitchen exit, it's better to go sprint back to the front door and into the living room rather than looking for a closet, as it separates you from the AI. It's better to circumvent the AI's navigation pattern. The AI can hear your footsteps when you walk or sprint near them, so they will turn your direction if you move while not crouching. First, if you're in the same room as the AI, or in the room next to the AI, make sure to be crouching when moving.
The AI of each character in this game (excluding Skipper the dog) has basic do's and don't's. To get in the basement door, hold E (or whatever you set your action key to) to open the door. You can use multiple distractions to sneak past this AI, such as sounding his car alarm or ringing a wind chime. Once you're at the Peterson house, you need to get into the basement, which involves sneaking around Nielsen, the AI (who mainly stays in the living room where the basement is). Peterson's old house, which indicates that it's where you need to go next. Once you go to the main office in the Banner, a small cutscene plays. Whatever location is emphasized, by cutscenes or in-game events, is where you need to go during this part of the game. This early on in the Beta, you cannot walk to many areas yet, as the Guest will grab you and send you back to the starting point. The beta was announced during an Xbox Showcase Livestream on December 10th, 2021.Īfter the tutorial (which I'm not gonna even write a walkthrough on, it's basic gameplay things), you end up at your main location, the Raven Brooks Banner. It comes with your Pre-Order of Hello Neighbor 2 (or its Deluxe Edition) on any platform. The Hello Neighbor 2 Beta is the closed beta for Hello Neighbor 2 that released April 7, 2022. The first build of Hello Neighbor 2 to have NPCs.
